Krautrock is a genre that people don't often dip into these days but self proclaimed "radical guys" Von Spar hark back to the eighties with their video for single 'V.S.O.P'. Edited to look like the rolling credits at the end of a French arthouse movie, there is something cinematic in their writing as the drama builds with each progressive chord. 'V.S.O.P' is certainly unique and littered with far reaching influences from the world of techno, synth pop and post punk. For vocals the all-male foursome have enlisted the help of English multi-instrumentalist and singer Scout Niblett, who adds a touch of emotion to the synthetic mix. If this is what modern Krautrock sounds like, then please let's have more of it.  - SJ
